www.kansascity.com/166/story/460616.htmlNebraska at KansasWhen/where: 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence TV/radio: ESPN-Plus, KCSP (610 AM) About Nebraska (11-5): The Cornhuskers have lost three games in a row, a streak that began with KU’s 79-58 win in Lincoln, Neb., to open the conference season. Nebraska went on to lose at Colorado and at home against Baylor before having a week to prepare for the Jayhawks a second time. While Nebraska may have improved from last season, it still has a long way to go to compete with Kansas, especially at Allen Fieldhouse. Big man Aleks Maric gives them a formidable weapon, but one player can’t beat KU. The Huskers will need big efforts from their four guards to even have a chance to stay close. About Kansas (19-0): After their 83-59 win over Iowa State on Wednesday night, the Jayhawks talked about how they won’t have to spend as much time preparing for Nebraska since the teams met just two weeks ago. The Huskers’ schemes are fresh in their minds, which means that KU focused more on itself during Thursday’s practice. The Jayhawks match up well with Nebraska’s guard-heavy lineup because KU’s big men, particularly Sasha Kaun, have had success guarding Maric in the past. Bottom line: Kansas is playing so well right now it’s simply unfair for teams like Nebraska. The only thing that could help the Huskers is if the Jayhawks don’t play at a high energy level. KU coach Bill Self said his team’s energy level was a “six or a seven” against Iowa State. Nebraska better hope it’s a three or a four on Saturday.
