www.kansascity.com/167/story/485889.htmlStill no charges filed against MU’s Hannah, HortonBy MIKE DeARMOND The Kansas City Star Charges still have not been filed against Missouri basketball players Stefhon Hannah or Jason Horton as the Boone County prosecutor’s office evaluates the players’ arrests on allegations of third-degree misdemeanor assault. Assistant prosecutor Richard Hicks would not speculate on whether he would eventually file charges. “I think they’ve both got a return date of March 3, so I have some time to meet with witnesses and stuff before I make my final decision,” Hicks told The Star. Last Friday, after Hannah’s arrest by the Columbia Police Department, Sgt. Ken Hammond speculated that charges could be filed shortly. “My guess is if they’re not filed (Saturday) they’ll be filed on Monday,” Hammond said. The arrests stemmed from a Jan. 27 incident at the Athena Night Club in which Hannah’s jaw was broken in an alleged altercation between Hannah, Horton and club employees. Meanwhile, Missouri basketball coach Mike Anderson, in a telephone interview Monday afternoon with The Star, made it clear he simply wants to move on. “You want to talk about basketball, or what do you want to talk about?” he said. Missouri, having lost three of its last four games, plays Wednesday night at Nebraska.
